#01 How would you introduce yourselves to someone who's never heard your band?

Hmmmm, that’s a tough one. Maybe like the Beatles, but with heavier riffs. I don’t know if that accurate.

#02 What were the main influences for your new album (thematically)?

There was never one specific thing that pushed us in a certain direction. We live our lives from day to day and are constantly influenced by our surroundings. Current events in the world, things that happen to our band, music, books, art, film, everything influences us.

#03 Give us some info on your new album. Where it was recorded? Who was the producer? How do you feel with the result?

Our record was recorded in Brampton, Ontario, which is about a 20 minute drive from home. Our producer was a good friend of ours, Greg Dawson, we also worked with him on our first release Transfer Trachea…..
It was a wicked experience and we are very satisfired with the final product.

#04 If you could be summed up in one of your songs, which one would it be and why?

It’s far too tough to be summed up in one song. There are pieces of me in every single song we write. We go at every song in the same way, with each one we put as much of ourselves into it as possible. With each and every song we write we are faced with a new challenge, we all leave a piece of ourselves behind when a song is completed.

#05 What bands have influenced you throughout the years?

It’s safe to say that every band I have heard in my entire life has influenced me in one way or another. I kind of live by the modo that there is something good in everything. For example, I could listen to a Britney Spears record and find something in it that creates new ideas in my brain. I may hate the record but I’m certain there is something in it that would spark new ideas. It’s good to find inspiration in unexpected places.

#06 Was there an album that changed your life for any kind of reason?

Recently it was Jeff Buckley’s Grace. I realized how powerful a voice can actually be and what the potential of the voice really is. There is a track called “What Would You Say” on the live Mystery White Boy Tour cd. Hearing him on that track sends chivers down my spine every time I hear it. I love when that happens.

#07 What's your opinion on the current rise of metal and hardcore and the attention they've been getting from the media and press?

I think it’s great, there are a lot of great bands that are finally getting the success that they deserve. There are a lot of bands that are opening up the gates for bands such as ourselves, I think it’s really amazing. The fact that Lamb of God and Mastodon were able to play on prime time late night American TV is remarkable. It’s all very positive.

#08 We'd also love to know your opinion on MySpace, PureVolume etc...

Myspace is a great way for bands to have a close relationship with their fans. It’s kind of added more personality to the band to fan relationship which is pretty cool. Our band was very reluctant with these types of things, but we’ve been enlightened I guess you could say. It’s just another outlet for bands to go through and get their music our to people, a very helpful self promotion tool.

#09 Are there any current/new bands that you listen to?

To tell you the truth I haven’t bought any new cds in quite some time. I quit my job a few months ago so money to buy cds has been kind of scarce. I really like Circa Survive’s Juturna, It’s really not all that new, but its in my ipod right now.

#10 Which is your proudest moment as a band?

Playing with Gwar! Hahahaha, I love their live show, so that was a blast!

#11 What are your future plans? Any chance visiting Greece?

We will be on the road for the next year. And we will definitely be coming to Europe in the summer, but we are not certain where just yet. Hopefully our travels will take us to your country.
