#01 Many people here in Greece may be introduced to your band through this interview. What do you have to say to them? Why should someone check out SOT and buy your new album, "The Failure In Drowning"? What do you wish to achieve with it? Do you feel that you have taken a step further with it?
The new album is a huge step for the band and its packed with everything someone could possibly want in a cd. We hope this record keep us on the road for years to come. Being able to tour the world is the greatest feeling ever.
#02 Since you hail from Orange County, the motherland of metallic hardcore and the almighty beatdown, how do you feel with the current rise of hardcore, metal and everything around these genres and with the exposure they have been getting, especially in the States? Don't you feel that "metalcore" has already reached its peak and that is has almost become the new "nu-metal"? Isn't the world in need of something new and authentic?
I don't think its at its peak for metalcore yet. There are bands starting to do things that are blowing kids minds away with talent and i think it will just continue to grow.
#03 What's the best thing about being in SOT? Describe life in SOT with three words (and don't say "Scars", "Of", "Tomorrow")!
The best thing about being in sot is being able to travel the world and have people know us and respect our music. The world rules when you get to see it with your best friends. a-fucking-mazing
#04 What has been the high point of your career so far?
So far our tour with atreyu was incredible and we are currently touring with hatebreed who has been a huge inspiration for years.

#06 For every musician, there's a riff or a song or even an album he wishes he'd written. What's yours?
Probably Killswitch Engage's "Alive Or Just Breathing". It's perfect.
#07 Name some of the albums that have influenced you through the years. What bands did you grew up listening to?
I grew up listening to Pantera and Slayer, but the bands that really do it for me now are Deftones, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed and Code Seven
#08 Have you had any weird or embarassing experiences with fans?
I felt embarrassed for a bigger gurl that came to our show in a pink tootoo.
#09 Give us some information on your new album. Where it was recorded? How long did the recording sessions last? Who was the producer? Any guest appearances? Are you satisfied with the result?
We recorded with Eric Rachel in New Jersey for about three weeks. We are really excited about the outcome and think its our best record to date. We really got a chance to see what we want to do with the next record to.
#10 What were the main influences for your new album (thematically)?
The struggle of keeping this band alive after many lineupchanges last september. But we definately came out stronger then before.
#11 We'd love to know what's your opinion on MySpace, PureVolume etc. Don't you think that their role is overrated? Everything has become a matter of who has the most friends and total plays. Doesn't that bother you?
Yes and No. It helps bigtime, but at the same time it pisses me off when these newer bands that have more plays then us but has never played outside of the our state can get better tours sometimes ahahhaha
#12 What current/new bands you like and admire and what's your ideal line-up for a gig?
I think Drop Dead Gorgeous is going to be the next huge thing. Ideal lineup for a gig would be Atreyu, Hatebreed, Deftones, Killswitch and us.
#13 How do you feel with your achievements so far and what should we expect in the future?
I love whats happened with the band so far and expect many more years of touring and recording cds. I'll also see you guys in January hopefully.
